Develop Success Deep Within You

Develop Success Deep Within You

by Jane Powell on June 10, 2011

“True success.”

Success is not in your environment. It is not controlled by luck, chance, or the influence of others. Success is not in the greener pastures on the other side of the fence. Success lies right where you are – here and now!

You don’t need greater abilities, or greater opportunities. You already possess what you need for success to develop deep within you. So, don’t look elsewhere. Instead, expect the seeds of success to grow from your heart.

Starting today, vow to focus, explore and take action on what you have and what you can do. When you do, success will surely follow.

Are you a Hawk or a Crow.....Or possibly both?

The Hawk vs. The Crow

I have been seeing many Hawks lately in the Pacific Northwest. I have noticed an abundance of them for about a year now. I am not sure if it is the weather, time of year, or area, but they seem to be everywhere. It’s not a bad thing, as I LOVE watching them!!!

I could watch them for hours just flying in the sky. There are many things I think when I see them flying. Things such as, what are they flying towards, what are they searching for, and will they find what they are looking for.

There are many times I see them, just perched, on the light posts of our highway lights, that I drive along and they give me a peaceful feeling at times, like they are watching over our safety and for some reason, always feel better when I see them.

Then, occasionally I will see a crow flying at them, looking like they are wanting “a piece of the Hawk”. First thing that comes to mind is, “Are you kidding me, that is a hawk, you are looking to fight, you are going to lose that battle.” Then I remember something my mom told me, the Crow is going after the Hawk because the Hawk was going after, or flying to close, to the Crows nest.

Well, that was a big eye opener for me. The Crow, which I was thinking had NO chance against this beautiful huge Hawk was trying to protect his young. Of course he would try to defend it. Wouldn’t we all when it comes to our children????

Which is right? That might be the unanswered question! I personally love watching the Hawks fly in abundance around our area…..Does that mean I think it’s right to invade the Crow’s territory? Not necessarily. Everything in life happens for a reason. Let the best “Bird” win.

Sometimes this scenario makes me think of my business…..in more ways than one. The Hawk, searching for what he wants, and the Crow protecting what he has, and won’t let anyone else in.

On, a personal note, 10 years ago, I think I became a bit of the Hawk and a bit of the Crow. With the "Hawk" part of me I decided what I wanted regarding working from home, went for it, and have been happy and fortunate everyday since then. Being a single mom, there is nothing better and more gratifying that being home with my son and being able to work around HIS schedule! The "Crow" part of me thought I could never harm my child with toxic products and why would I not want better safer ones, knowing they were costing me anymore than what I was already spending. A "No Brainer" for me, all around!!!

I have had and seen many opportunities over the last 10+ years, maybe similar to the Crow protecting what he has. But nothing has come close to the opportunity that I found and have been working for all these years.

The wonderful thing about my business is I am able to do different things….help your family get better, safer, non toxic, non cancer causing products…..And, if you choose, to work from home WITHOUT having to sell anything!!!
